Napkin Dispenser Ads for Daycares and Preschools
Napkin dispenser ads for daycares and preschools reach young parents during the early dinners and weekend breakfasts that make up life with small kids. You choose the restaurants near your center, and no other child care provider shares those dispensers.
The 5 PM Family Dinner Crowd
Parents of toddlers eat early. The family restaurants near your center fill around five, with high chairs and crayons and parents who are already thinking about next year's care.
Many families decide on a preschool between a few nearby options, and the one they've heard of tends to get the first tour. A card on those tables, week after week, makes your center one of those names.
Tour Season Starts in Winter
Fall enrollment decisions usually happen months earlier. Many parents tour and apply in winter and early spring, especially for programs with waitlists. California's expansion of transitional kindergarten has also changed the age mix many preschools serve, so families with four-year-olds are weighing more options than before.
A tour or open house card from January through April catches the decision window. Late summer brings a second wave of families who just moved.
Your License Number Belongs on the Card
California's Community Care Licensing Division licenses child care centers and family child care homes, and providers are generally expected to show their facility license number in advertising. Parents look for it, too.
Never use children's photos without written permission from their parents. An illustration or a photo of an empty classroom works well instead.
What a Full Enrollment Year Means
An enrolled family is often a multi-year relationship, especially when a younger sibling follows. Use your own tuition numbers to see how few new families would cover the plan.
Track with a QR code to a tour booking page used only by the card, and ask at every tour how parents heard about you.
Early Drop-Off Near Hospitals and Studios
Parents who work early shifts, at hospitals, studios, warehouses or airports, choose care around drop-off times first. If you open early or close late, that is the headline for them.
The breakfast counters and lunch spots near those employers reach parents during the workday, when they're thinking about the commute and who picks up the kids. A card there pairs naturally with family restaurants near your center.
A note on advertising rules for daycares and preschools
California generally expects licensed child care providers to include their facility license number in advertising; confirm with the Community Care Licensing Division. Never show children without written parent permission.

Questions daycares and preschools ask us
Does a daycare need to show its license number on an ad?
California generally expects licensed child care centers and family child care homes to include their license number in advertising. We'll leave room for it on the card. Confirm the current requirement with the Community Care Licensing Division before you approve the proof.
When should a preschool advertise for fall?
Start in January. Many parents tour and apply in winter and early spring, especially for programs with waitlists. A late-summer card catches families who just moved or whose plans changed. Book either card two to three weeks before you want it on tables.
Can I use photos of the kids in my program?
Only with written permission from every parent, and many centers skip it entirely for privacy. An illustrated card, a photo of your classroom or play yard, or a staff photo works just as well and avoids the issue.
Can a family child care home advertise on a napkin dispenser?
Yes, as long as the restaurant owner approves the ad, which they do for every advertiser. Include your license number and the area you serve, and consider whether you want your full address on a public card.
